Waterfront Transformation Underway in Dolvika, Bergen

We are very pleased to announce that Curve Studio has been commissioned to design the transformation of the Dolvika waterfront on behalf of the City of Bergen. In line with the municipality’s overarching spatial planning strategy, Dolvika is an area where extensive residential development is planned in the near future. As an important step toward ensuring a coherent and holistic development, we will work in close collaboration with the municipality to develop plans for the public spaces.

The project area, encompassing the areas around Telenorkaien and Dampskipkaien, consists of a mix of former industrial sites, waterfront recreational areas, and overgrown cultural heritage. The objective of the project is to secure public access to the waterfront while simultaneously creating inviting social spaces that respect both the existing cultural environment and future needs.

The complexity of the assignment requires a high degree of interdisciplinary collaboration. Our team includes Dr.techn. Olav Olsen AS, A/STAB, Kepla, and Structor Akustikk. We look forward to taking on this task together with the team and the City of Bergen.
